MoleMap
Within the range of just a few seconds, digital images of skin sections are analysed, moles are segmented and identified, the images are transformed and suspicious moles are visualized in false colors.
Imaging
The graphical data are captured with an ordinary digital camera and subsequently archived in DyaGenius or DermoGenius lite. In each case, the older image is depicted on the left of the screen, while the current image is shown on the right.
Segmentation
During segmentation, lesions are recognized automatically and are emphasized in blue. Segmentation forms the basis for further computations. The sensitivity of the segmentation can be adjusted by modifying the parameter - minimum surface, compactness and threshold value.
Identification
The matching feature selects the appropiate paris of points from the lesion that have been recognized. These are ifdentified by the same number in both the left and right picture.
Transformation
During image transformation (morphing) the two images are superimposed. New lesions or lesions that have grown are shown in red. This facilitates patient screening.
